Group Vision

Vision benefits typically cover eye examinations, prescription lenses and frames, and/or contact lenses, renewing every 12 to 24 months. Although Vision benefits can be purchased on a stand-alone basis or “unbundled”, most companies choose to package this coverage along with their medical plan.  Note there are a few insurance companies that include eye examinations as part of their medical benefits.  And some insurers offer Vision benefits combined with dental insurance.
This coverage can also be provided on a voluntary basis where employees pay 100% for their premiums, deducted from their paycheck before taxes.
